Antimicrobial Coatings at the American Coatings Show

Antimicrobial coatings are a modern barrier to infectious diseases, eliminating harmful germs before they are transferred from surfaces to people. They also help protect the article they cover from microbial-caused corrosion and degradation, improving the article’s lifetime and appearance while reducing unpleasant by-products such as odor. From worktops to ventilation systems, clothing to medical devices, the reach antimicrobial coatings can have is virtually limitless.

If you are attending the American Coatings Show our Technical Lead Dr. Emma Wrigglesworth will be presenting. Emma’s talk “Antibacterial and antifungal coatings and sealants” will give an insight into what is achievable with antimicrobial coatings technology. The talk is part of Session 9 and will take place on Wednesday 1st May from 3.00 to 3.30pm.

The American Coatings Show takes place from April 30th to May 2nd 2024 at the INDIANA Convention Center, 100 S. Capitol Ave.,Indianapolis, IN 46225

The 2024 American Coatings Conference will follow the theme, “Innovations in Coatings Technology: Shaping Our Future,” and feature a curated, varied program across multiple topical tracks, offering some 90 technical sessions. The American Coatings Conference brings together members of the coatings industry’s technical and scientific community with members of the academic world of coatings and their students for three days of learning and sharing the latest scientific research and advancements in coatings technology.
